We think your privacy is important!

Privacy is not just something, it is a fundamental right. In the Heart of Change therefore attaches great importance to protecting the personal data that you provide to us. Your data will be treated with care and secured. We act fully in line with European privacy legislation (General Data Protection Regulation) that applies from 25 May 2018.

Below we would like to explain to you when we ask for your personal data and what we then use it for.

1. Amendment of the privacy statement

In the event of material changes to the privacy statement, we will inform our customers directly.

2. When do we record your personal data?

​

If you have contact with In the Heart of Change, we will record your personal data. This happens when you request our newsletter, respond to our offer or order a product. We use this data for billing, product delivery and to make targeted offers that match your growth. If you are not happy with this, you can easily let us know by clicking on a link at the bottom of the email or by sending us an email. We don't want to 'stalk' you with emails.

3. What personal data do we record?

  1. In the Heart of Change can collect and process your personal data such as your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number(s), date of birth, bank account number and the sessions you have followed with us.   

  2. We also record your interests in products and services.  

 

 

4. In addition to the personal data we receive from you, In the Heart of Change may also obtain information from third parties.

We work with third parties if this benefits our service to you. Below we explain who we work with and why:

  • With financial institutions and payment service providers for the purpose of payments;

  • With service providers in the field of automation, for, among other things, the maintenance of our networks or the storage of data.

  • With Mailchimp for sending newsletters and campaigns.

  • With external project managers who structure our projects.
     

Insofar as these parties have access to personal data for their work, we have made clear technical and organizational agreements to protect personal data against loss or unlawful processing.

5. What do we use your personal data for?

In the Heart of Change can use your personal data for:

  • Accepting your request for a product or service;

  • Sending an invoice or product;

  • To answer your question about a product or service, by phone, email, chat or other social media;

  • Marketing purposes to keep you informed of activities, offers and products and services of In the Heart of Change unless you have indicated that you are not interested in this.

6. When may we use your personal data?

We may only collect and process your personal data if there is a so-called legal basis for this. These are the legal bases we use:

  • For the execution of the agreement:
     

For example: You request a workshop or ceremony from us and we use your personal data for invoicing.

  • After permission:
     

For example: You have shown yourself interested in our newsletter or our offer and we use your data to inform you. Of course, you have the right to withdraw consent once given at any time. The relevant processing will then be discontinued by us. The processing of your personal data that has already taken place remains lawful. Do we need your permission? Then we ask for this at that time.

 

 

7. Legitimate Interest

Legitimate interest means that we have a legitimate interest for these processing of your personal data. When determining this legitimate interest, your rights and interests with regard to the protection of personal data are always weighed up against the interests of In the Heart of Change. The legitimate interest of In the Heart of Change lies in:

  • Providing information via newsletters or video messages;

  • For marketing purposes. We would like to keep you informed of products, services and offers from In the Heart of Change

  • Conducting customer satisfaction surveys to improve our products, services or our services.

  • Creditors and debtors management.   In the event of non-payment or late payment, we can hand the claim over to a bailiff/collection agency.

  • To be able to find out personal preferences, interests or behavior of our customers so that we take into account the needs of our target group in our offer.

8. Social Media

In the Heart of Change uses different channels for its marketing messages such as email, app, social media and your personal online accounts. We do not like untargeted advertising, but we can use your personal characteristics to show personalized content via email and social media channels. We also always recommend that you read the privacy policies of such social media companies to get a good idea of how your personal data is processed.

9. What rights do you have with regard to your personal data?

Various rights with regard to your personal data are laid down in legislation. Below you will find an explanation per right of what this means for you:

  • Right of access

You have the right to access your personal data. You can therefore request from us which of your personal data we process and what we use your personal data for.

You can also send an e-mail to request access to your personal data. Please include your name, address and telephone number in your email. You can email this to hello@inthehehartofchange.com

 

Also enclose a copy of your driver's license, passport or identity card. We ask this because we need to be able to determine that you are the person whose personal data is. This is to prevent someone from viewing this data by using your name.

  • Right to rectification of personal data
     

In addition, you have the right to have your personal data changed or deleted if they are processed incorrectly, incompletely or not in accordance with the law. If you want to make use of this right, you can send an email to In the Heart of Change in which you indicate which personal data must be changed and why. You can email this to  hello@intheheartofchange.com

  • Right to delete personal data

 

You also have the right to have your personal data removed from our records. If you want to make use of this right, you can send an email to In the Heart of Change in which you indicate why the personal data must be deleted. 12. How safe is your data with In the Heart of Change?

​

Your personal data is in good hands with us. In the Heart of Change has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss and/or any form of unlawful processing. We store your personal data in a secure environment, which protects against unauthorized access, publication and use of the data by unauthorized persons inside and outside the organization. We also impose these security requirements on third parties that process personal data for us. Processing Agreements apply to all external transfers of personal data.

13. What can you do yourself to keep your personal data safe?

​

You are responsible for keeping your passwords and any login codes secret. Keep your password to yourself and do not share it with others to prevent others from having access to your personal data.

14. How long does In the Heart of Change store your personal data?

​

If you are interested in our products and services, you will end up in our files. We assume that you have an interest in our offer and use your data for this. We keep this data until you unsubscribe from our database.

 

Your personal data will in any case be deleted:

  • in the case of the execution of the agreement: 5 years after termination of the agreement for possible future agreements, unless you have given explicit permission to store the personal data for longer or if the data must be kept longer on the basis of a statutory regulation or determination;

  • in the case of payment and processing of the invoices: 7 years after the payment of the relevant invoice, for the purpose of complying with the legal obligation of the tax authorities;

  • in the case of handling questions and complaints: after the complaint has been resolved satisfactorily;

  • in the case of a request for a non-binding offer: 60 days after sending the non-binding offer.

15. What to do if you don't see any commercial offers from In the Heart of Change  want to receive?

​

We would like to keep you informed of activities, offers, products and services of our organization. Do you not want to receive commercial offers from us? Then you can make use of the right of objection. We will then no longer use your personal data for marketing purposes.

You can easily do this by sending a message hallo@intheheartofchange.com stating that you do not appreciate being informed about our offer.

16. Questions about privacy within In the Heart of Change or do you have a complaint?

​

Privacy is very important to In the Heart of Change and has ensured this at the highest level. If you have any questions about this privacy statement or about the way In the Heart of Change handles your personal data? Then you can contact Sven Goedbloed via sven@intheheartofchange.com . We will respond as soon as possible. If necessary, you can also submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority if, for example, you believe that your complaint has not been handled carefully by In the Heart of Change.
